BB&T

Today I arrived at this location to conduct business with my in laws who are account holders with BB&T with large sums in the bank. We went to get them a Cashier's Check for their new home. When I told the telled through the drive through what they were requesting We were advised by the teller that there was a $10 charge for the cashier's check. My immediate response was to question why they charge their own customers a fee for the cashier's check when my personal bank dosen't. I was advised by the teller that it was there policy. I made mention that it was messed up but they went ahead and paid the $10.nAfter coming back home my wife began to look up the policy and noticed that her parents were not supposed to be charged any fee. She made contact with the bank and actually spoke with the teller who handled the transaction. The teller advised that it was the company policy to charge and when challenged by my spouse the teller recanted her statement and made the comment in the regards to the account status and that she failed to ask for the manager over ride due to there accounts standing. My spouse then requested that the branch manager contact her.nMrs. Anna Lopez ( supposeded branch manager) made contact with my spouse over this transaction. Mrs. Lopez proceed to call myself and parents liars that it was never requested to wave there fee. When advised to look at the video over the transition she also refused and refused to acknowledge the conversation that was had with the teller. Futher more Mrs. Lopez made the statement that we should have known there policies; how is someone who dosent bank with BB&T supposed to know your bank policies, and the actual customer supposed to know considering they only speak Spanish and just relocated to Jacksonville from Miami, where when they go into a branch there treeted with kindness and professionalism ever time they went in. This treatment is based on a couple of things, the managers and staff treat people as they want to be treated and there account status. When coming to this branch its the exact opposite calling customers liars all while lacking in the aspect of customer service and professionalism. She also refused to look at the video from the transaction and abruptly ended the conversation again with the lack of professionalism. I certainly hope there is something done at this branch from corporate because there needs to be some serious training to the management in how to handle customers professionally. I hope this reaches Mr. Christopher Henson and those on his team. Background on the account status customer has over 60k in one acct. And 400k in another. Absolutely a disgrace if the lack of professionalism. If there is no correction I will make it my personal matter to let it all be known about the treatment that was received from BB&T and the downfalls presented.

NEVER EVER WANT to bank with BB&T again!!! I’ve had multiple problems with their ATM. The staff there are horrible at communicating & take their lovely time at assisting you! I’ve had the ATM take $140 from me in the past week & I called the number on that’s placed on the ATM in case of a problem but yet they tell me they can’t give me my money back when THEIR ATM took it from me in the first place! Worst bank ever to bank with!!! I would never recommend to anyone!!!!!
