Roger Brown’s is deceptively large—you’d never guess from the outside that it’s so big! The local sports memorabilia was heartwarming for this new Portsmouth resident. Lots of big screens. I can imagine this is a sports junkie’s paradise. Great local and national beers on tap. Excellent service and friendly waitstaff. Heartily recommend this hometown hero’s restaurant!

In the area and looked for a place to stop for a couple of hours. Service was speedy and friendly. Food was great. The environment is very clean and welcoming!nnMy server was very friendly and helpful (His name is Sam R, give him a raise)!nnI ordered the Smokehouse Burger with fries and all I have to say is *chef's kiss*nnI'll definitely be returning here whenever I am in Virginia again!

First time here today after work with a coworker. He thought I would love the food. The waitress was super nice and well mannered. The food was prepared in a timely manner and exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I would recommend the establishment to others and I will return myself.

The food is great!! However the service leaves a lot to be desired. Our first time coming here the waitress and our host was clearly running the whole dining room by themselves so they did the best they could. Our second time here ((today) the host seated us and gave us a basket of cornbread but the waitress never came. We waited exactly 17 minutes without our waitress even coming to tell us she’ll be right with us, bringing us a glass of water, or even taking a drink order. After that 17 minutes we waved her down and all she did was barely turn her head to us and say she’ll be right with us and continued on about her day. I’m really disappointed with this service especially because the food is really good. However, until the service in this restaurant improves I don’t think I will be back.

I was there for a baby shower. The meeting room was very nice. I love that they have Direct TV/Music Choice available. There's also a projector and screen if you need one. All the staff were courteous. The food was great.
