My dog had a terrible skin infection. They fixed him right up and even worked with me on the bill . The staff were all so kind and compassionate. You can really tell they love what they do. I will be recommending them highly to everyone I know with pets.nProfessional, kind, and honest integrity.

We brought our dog here in a panic after she had been struck by a car. She is on the mend now, thank goodness, and we are asking ourselves why we have been driving our animals into Colonial Heights when the best veterinary clinic in the world is a mere 4 miles from our house. I’ve never met a more skilled, compassionate group of animal care specialists in my 40+ years of being a pet owner. Can’t say enough good things about Amelia Bovine.

We have a heartbreaking situation with our beautiful Irish Setter, Molly. She has a tumor in her mandible and it can be a bloody, ugly, smelly mess. The vetinary staff are so comforting, knowledgeable, and willing to help us in any way they can. We know she is in good hands and that really helps put us at ease.

Went in to get my dog spayed which ended up in a totally botched job. Our dog’s incision site was seeping the whole time which they said was normal which absolutely is not . 5 days into recovery our dogs intestines pop out of her sutures and she had to be rushed to an emergency vet where the vet who stapled her back up stated that her insides did not look right. She stated that the sutures did not open up due to anything our dog did (because she had her cone on 24/7 and crated) but the job that was done at Amelia bovine. The vet stated it was only a matter of time until they popped. They recommend we go to another emergency vet for further treatment because they thought she might be septic . Another surgery had to be done to fix what this clinic did. She was stable enough for us to take her home overnight and take her to blackstone animal clinic where their amazing doctor fixed her. The doctor reopened her and stated that what they did during surgery was not right, she had infection, torn muscles and ligaments from what they did. Thankfully blackstone animal clinic redid her surgery and got her back to good health. Needless to say a simple procedure that was less than $400 has cost us thousands. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.
