Shining Mountain Golf Course and Event Center

Extremely slow play, even the marshal couldn't make it any better. They allowed a group of 7 to play together w/o delaying tee times behind them. We waited close to 15 on every hole. Bailed out after 12. I liked to course but the slow play killed and enjoyment. It is a tight mountain course that is cart path only..

Nice course in decent condition. The greens we're a bit inconsistent, some much faster than others. Pretty sure that was because of the wind drying them at different rates. Good price and all in all a good day.

What a place! If you have not golfed here you need too. The grounds keepers have done an incredible job this season. Keeping carts off the course has done the place well. The greens are hands down the best I have played on all season. (30+rounds played, all over the front range area.)nThe pace of play has been great. No one hitting in to you or slow play. The marshals float around making sure it stays smooth. But without making you feel rushed or watched. Super friendly and very welcoming.nNow for the best parts. The views in the background of many of the tee boxes are made for Instagram. The wild life will also put a smile on your face. With the deer often asking to play thru or just off to the side eating from the shrubs.n**Keep in mind that this is a mountain course, you will be driving on dirt paths with elevation changes. So drive slow and stay on the path.**nI wish I could play here everyday! So happy to have found this place and look forward to hitting here till I am old and gray. Beer was good and cold. Meat was more done than was requested. Good onion rings and fries. Decent prices

We enjoyed our day of golf. We were impressed with the efficiency of the maintenance crew and clubhouse staff. The course is in great shape for early spring golf. $21.00 + tip for 2 very burnt burgers and a hot dog was a little much. I threw half of mine away. We all played a soon-to-be-closed course in the Springs for 20+ years. If this is the general condition of Shining Mountain, we will be back often.
