ER staff was super friendly and professional not once where they rude. I did wait a quiet a bit but not a problem since ER is a busy department. Excellent care for my mom who had fallen down the stairs! Super great care. All questions where fully answered. Totally recommend this hospital.

People seem nice, but the price gouging is sad. I am going to VAIL of all places for an MRI because they are 1/4 the price. Why is that fair? AVH is losing money for our community by driving people away with unreasonable prices.

I recently switched my primary care provider to Dr. Karen Locke at Aspen Valley Primary Care. Physicals are such an intimate hands-on experience, and Dr. Locke was the perfect balance of professional and personable, she put me right at ease. I felt like I had been her patient for years. I highly recommend her.

Sorry this is a long one.nI had a MRI done here, and my insurance only covered some of it. So I decided to do a payment plan which I thought was great! When I encountered the billing/ financial services department the nightmare began.nI called multiple times and left multiple messages, never got a call back. But I figured this was happening because it was the being of COVID lock down, so it will get figured out. Then I got a letter, after a month of trying to get a hold of them every other day, saying my bill is going to collections. Moment of panic, what? I redouble my efforts to get a hold of them. I finally get a hold of the department, only to get the rudest person, telling me she hope my card gets declined so that I do have to go to collections. I had been kind, and had given the hospital the benefit of doubt the whole time, I was not a Karen. But when that rudeness happened I did ask to speak to someone else so that I didn't go off on this lady, or you know maybe I can just be treated like a person, when discussing money. She said she didn't know how to transfer me since she was working from home. But it honestly sounded like an lame excuse and I wouldn't trust anything coming out of this lady's mouth. I did get a payment plan going. However I didn't think this was ok to be treated like this, I once again tried to call the finance dept, and kept getting asked to leave a message, which I did and I never got a call back.nnI thought the medical staff was great, but if you don't have the money to pay upfront and have to deal with their finance department then I sincerely hope you don't have to deal with the witch of an agent. If I could give it negative stars I would. Would not recommend to a friend.

Billing department are sharks. Most hospitals i have been to have financial assistance on a sliding scale based on a multiple of the poverty line, I see nothing like this for AVH. Go to Valley view instead.
