Up the Creek

We had an amazing dinner at Up the Creek. Steven at the bar was super friendly and got us seated right away. He was really quick and made some outstanding cocktails for us.nnThe braised short rib was outstanding and everyone else at our table really enjoyed their meals. I would definitely recommend this place to eat and drink at!

This place was phenomenal! The we had the brussel sprouts, chicken tortillas soup and the trout with dinner rolls, and everything was exceptional. Including our server Carissa! Would definitely recommend. We sat outside, with the patio heater, and looked over the pretty babbling brook. Best dining experience we've had in Vail.

Great place for lunch and relax...

We visited Up the Creek in Vail on Christmas Eve and I was extremely disappointed. The atmosphere is far from anything to write home about and the service was honestly just not good at all. We had four kids with us who all order the Steak Frites (2 Medium / 2 Medium Well). All four steaks were delivered to us Rare. They were a deep purple and cold to the touch. The waitress came and got them, didn't apologize or anything and brought them back 5-7 min later still Medium Rare. We just went with it and didn't make it a big deal but I expected much better service and much better skills cooking steak at a restaurant like Up the Creek. There were multiple other smaller issues as well but no need to go into each. We go to Vail/Beaver Creek for every Christmas and this was certainly our first & last visit to Up The Creek. So many good restaurants just a matter of steps away.

I went to Up The Creek for lunch and I ordered: buffalo chicken wings and the UTC burger. The wings were very good, but the burger was absolutely awful. The burger I ordered was supposed to be medium but came burnt and well done, and they didn’t include half of the ingredients,. I asked for the need to be cut in half because I don’t want 8oz of beef, but they said they couldn’t do it - hmmmm because it is frozen?
