Winking Lizard Peninsula

We always go here when we ride on the train. I've been here multiple times and have yet to have a bad experience. Drink menu? Amazing. food? Both flavor and price? Amazing. The service? On point. Only downside is it does get busy, but that's also a testimony on how good it is. Easily my top recommendation for peninsula, and definitely top 5 for NE Ohio

I really, really enjoyed this restaurant. They have a really cool beer menu, so if you enjoy beer, including special or limited runs, this place is definitely worth checking out. Their beer menu is well laid out and informative; it includes the type of brew, ex. IPA, Imperial Stout, Fruit Beer, Cider, etc., along with the alcohol volume percentage, (they have everything from 2.5% to 12.3%) and the size, in ounces, of the bottle or can. I tried two outstanding rotational brews-- the Brooklyn Brand Key Lime Bel Air Sour and the Southern Tier Strawberry Dream Milkshake IPA were both amazing❤ud83dudc9a❤! They also have an extensive whiskey selection, a barrel selection list full of special edition bourbon, along with signature cocktails.nThe food here is also impressive. Even though I'm not vegetarian, their vegetable wrap sounded so incredible I had to try it, and I was not disappointed. It was full of beautiful, fresh veggies, and was something I would happily order again and again. My friend highly enjoyed the Beer Battered Hadduck sandwich-- the fish was massive! The staff were all upbeat and helpful, and our waitress was energetic, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu.nI was relieved to find that this place, even though they have a mask requirement, does respect exemptions. If you can't wear a mask due to a medical condition, they are respectful, act in accordance with the ADA, and don't require any ridiculous documentation or ask follow-up questions. This is very important to me, as some establishments in the Akron area do openly discriminate against those who aren't willing to risk their own health by wearing a mask just to go along with their policy. The Winking Lizard Tavern is a well run establishment I'm happy to give 5 stars to.

I want to give this place five stars for the efficiency and quickness of getting our food. But I’m going to go with two because of the quality. When you offer a wide variety of food you are going to be good at nothing the food was mediocre. The service was great though very friendly staff. Parking is limited. We got the Mac and cheese bites they were awesome the ranch was the best part. As our entrees we got the Buffalo chicken wrap and Patty melt burger.

Fast, efficient service. Good pub food/comfort food. Inexpensive. Casual atmosphere great for meeting friends, family and right on the Towpath for before or after bike ride or walk. Good whiskey/bourbon and beer selection. Just wish there was more outdoor seating...though I am sure they wish they had more room for it too.

We came on a Monday which happened to be wing day. Of course they were pretty busy so outside tables were unavailable at the time, which was fine! The service was good, quick and helpful. The wings were crispy like I asked for, which most places can’t get right! I hate that it’s an hour to get to this place and wish we had one in Youngstown. Because the menu is fantastic and I love to eat. Next time I’m by CVNP I’ll be stopping back!
