This is a charming little family owned and run woolen mill. I have taken my fleece here to be processed. The owners are knowledgeable and fair. The lead time is acceptable. I appreciate the good communication and flexibility with drop off and pick up times. I have also taken a dying class here that was bother informative and fun. When you stop in be sure to have a few extra minutes to visit with the alpacas. There is a small shop with a variety of fibers for sale. Locals may be interested in the crafting nights that are hosted here.
Awesome yarn shop! Such a unique experience to actually purchase yarn that is spun right on site and from the very animals that live there! ALWAYS warm and inviting! Such a quaint little shop inside the on-site spinning mill and welcomes all types of crafters for their open craft night! What better way to have return customers when a shop recognizes that! Never feel like I'm pressured to buy anything and the owner and staff are always ample to talk to their customers! Love this shop and the nice country drive!
Had a wonderful first visit with my grandson. We got to tour the small mill to see the entire spinning process from raw fiber to cones of plied yarn. Then he picked out a roving for me to spin at home to make a hat for him. The roving was a dream to spin, then took it back to have the spin set and can't wait to knit the cap. I took my mother and sister back for the same tour and they enjoyed it, too. I look forward to Open Knit Nights and trying out new patterns, too.
I love the all natural yarns available at The Yarn Barn! I have knitted and crocheted with several of their yarns; they are unbelievably soft and beautifully crafted. I also enjoy meeting the alpaca and watching the process of creating a skein of yarn from start to finish.
Having a natural yarn supplier and mill this close to my home in Cincinnati is a dream come true. The Yarn Barn @ Blessed Criations has beautiful and truly unique fiber blends that I haven't been able to find anywhere else, and I am so happy with the quality of this yarn for all of my knitting and weaving projects!
