The DeBruce

We had a fine dining experience during our time in Livingston Manor at the restaurant at The Debruce. They offer a tasting menu, available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday for $175 per person. The tasting menu had 11 courses, with appetizers, main, and desserts. They use farm local products and everything is so fresh! Our tasting had a lot of seafood and fish, and everything was so tasty and and we were surprised with each course, because of the flavors and the combination of the ingredients. Also, we had the opportunity to explore the hotel surroundings and it is so stunning!

This place far exceeded our expectations. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were comfortable, and the food (led by Chef Eric) was inventive and delicious. Highly recommend a stay and I hope to be back soon.

We had an amazing time staying at the DeBruce! We originally were going to go for just dinner and stay elsewhere but when we realized that an overnight stay included the tasting menu AND breakfast we decided to go for it. It was 100% worth the price- the food was AMAZING. The chef is so talented and as big tasting menu fans, this is the best one we’ve done by far. The wine pairing was a great addition as well. The service was amazing and a forgotten booking for one of their new cabanas was quickly rectified and we were even given a glass of complimentary champagne while we waited. We are already planning when we can come back. Thanks to the entire team at DeBruce and we hope to see you again!

We really enjoyed our mini moon stay at The DeBruce. While the weather didn't cooperate, we were still able to take advantage of the private trails which were really cool with different places to picnic and have a nap. We ended up accidentally leaving a plant that was at our wedding (and obviously special) behind in the parking lot and Sam on the DeBruce team was super helpful in shipping it back to us safely. Really great hospitality and the food was top notch!

An extremely underwhelming experience. The property is beautiful but the staff is very laid back and couldn’t be bothered about its guests. I had requested ahead of time for the menu for the stay which for some reason they refused to give and said our requirements would be taken care of which they absolutely weren’t . The tasting menu was nothing to talk about. The rooms were very tiny . For what they charge the service and accommodation don’t match up. My first and last trip there.
