The Penalty Box

My family wanted a change for movie night so we ordered chicken fingers and fries. The wait staff was polite but not very informative when asked about portions and sizes. While I liked being able to order takeout, the fact that I had to walk in to pay for and get my order was a small hassle with no parking available. The worst part was that the place was crammed shoulder to shoulder without a single mask to be seen aside from the staff. It was very unnerving. I'm sad to say I was not very impressed with the food. The price, $10 before tax for each, wasn't awful but would have been better if the quality was better. We got exactly what we could have made ourselves from store bought frozen products. Absolutely no difference whatsoever aside from the price. We've made the exact same things for around $2.00 per person. So many food places use the same items and we had only wished for something better than that. Anything different would have made it worthwhile. We may try something else if we decide to order from there in the future but I don't know if we will get the fingers again.

Anybody who is thinking about joining the penalty box crew may want to reconsider. I had a recent loss in my family and requested time to go to his viewing and the funeral and was told “no” and “hope it’s on your day off” instead of them having sympathy or understanding that death is unexpected. I was told that maybe the job isn’t for me due to my grieving. Thank you Nancy for not understanding that I am a single mother and needed this job so I could provide for my children.

We ordered from the penalty box through door dash today. Sometimes ordering through DD can suck because by the time the driver gets it to you its cold and soggy etc. we are not comfortable yet going out to eat in the pandemic though, so take out is our only optionnnThe food was AMAZING. everything was still hot and crispy. The pickle fries were a delight and my sliders were the best I’ve ever had. My husband’s salad was a HUGE portion and the French dip was fantastic. We can’t wait to order from them again! Bravo!

Best time for family, very safe. Minimal people and the price is absolutely just right

Great personal employees, fast service, plenty of parking. Great food, amazing price. 1st x here but will return again. Awesome loved it.
