While it isn't the biggest resort, it has some very nice runs. Pluto's Plunge is probably my favorite and many off trail runs can be found if you look from the chair. Taking runs under the chair always leads to untracked snow and the view of Mount Madison from the top,is pretty nice. Food is great at the pub and parking is not usually a problem. Great place to learn to ski with family and to save money on tickets, and gas!

This review is a notice to those considering using the ski school for beginners. My kids had a private lesson here this week. The instructor was fine. The number of stars reflects the ticketing policy for lessons for children. The issue is being made to purchase a $69 lift ticket for a 7 year old so that he can have the privilege of walking up a small mound of snow carrying his own skis for an hour. This mountain should issue one-hour learning area tickets at a discounted price for lessons that only use the learning area. Clearly it’s not about the love of the sport if you gouge those trying to get into it, it’s about the bottom line. Pretty disappointed.

Overall it is a good smaller ski area for cruising around, learning to ski, and riding after work/school. Midweek it is a good place to be. Relaxed atmosphere.nAs for weekends... look elsewhere. Management has yet to figure out how to manage the congestion of out of town crowds and weekend races.

The only reason this is not a 5 star review is size. But if you want a day trip mountain from Massachusetts, this is the better option in the area. With lift passes being less expensive and trails well maintained, definitely a new go to.

It's a nice small ski resort with a big advantage of having night skiing. For me there were only two downsides:n1. At the summit, both tracks (blue and black) were seriously icy at the beginning so it was impossible to get around.n2. Most of the tracks are a bit boring.nnI'd say it's really a good place for beginners and very close to Boston. Though the road leading to the resort is a bit convoluted.
