I love dive bars and consider myself a dive bar dweller. Any city I visit I try to hit at least one or two dive bars on my trip. While visiting my mom in Saline for a long 6 weeks we passed this place many times and finally decided to stop in one night. I like the vibe at Thompson's and will be coming back on future trips.

This used to be the old Polar Bear Inn. Decor is still the same. Their Friday Fish Fry is a very good value for the $. They offer 2 or 4 piece fish meals. The pieces of fish are large & tasty! 2 to 3 sides are included. Service is very good. Food is hot, atmosphere is comfortable & quiet early Friday evening.

My friend and I had cheeseburgers an fries they were excellent! Best burger I've had in awhile.
