Website easy to navigate, store is right up the road if I have questions.

Guitars and amps are not that great. Guitar accessories are slim picking. Forget about getting strings here because there are more empty slots than full ones. Now with that said, there’s more to a music store than just guitars and amps. I love the violin section and the cellos. They do have strings for them but again not a big selection. I’m a starter on violin so I have little experience unlike with guitars. Guitar Center is more my style, but who has time to roll down to Rockville for strings? The people there seem a little snobby. They ask if you are finding everything okay but then quickly disappear. So I’m giving three stars, it’s not the best, but it sure beats nothing at all!

Really great music store. The prices are a bit high but also negotiable. Most of the staff is friendly and seem very inclusive. The only reason I knocked off two stars is because of the private lessons. We had at least one transaction that was never resolved from a cancellation. The biggest issue was my violin teacher (S. A.). She was nice and knowledgeable but very unresponsive, a bit flighty and pushy. The last couple times I had to cancel, I never got a response from her. Then I informed her that I’d be taking a break from lessons since we were busy with our move, and again, no response or acknowledgement. I even told her I would let her know when I was ready to start back up, but after that, obviously I will not be returning to her again. Very disappointed but relieved to cut ties and move on in my violin journey.

My grandson and I was in yesterday to purchase a guitar . The female employee stayed at the register and never asked us if we needed assistance. We did however play and chose a guitar to buy. I have had a guitar repaired there a few years ago and the service was great. Not so much this visit.

We love Ellsworth. Brian is always willing to let my son play the instruments and talk to him about music. This means the world to him and to us. Charles Town is lucky to have such a great music resource. Would recommend them to everyone!
