I was shopping for a few Parakeets and the staff were SUPER helpful in pretty much every way! I had a lovely conversation with an employee named Ashlee (Ashley?) About the male and female variations of the birds in store and she was such a pleasure to speak with. Another staff member actually helped me load my cage (it was huge!) And was very helpful as well. I was able to find everything I needed for Violet and Spud to be comfortable in my home, and I will be back for sure!

On Sunday I had decided to take my daughter and get her some fish for birthday. Upon picking out her fish, and asking for assistant on getting us some fish we was assisted by some young girl that was nothing but rude to us when asking questions about the fish. After asking questions about the fish she then proceeded to tell us that she “didn’t feel comfortable selling us fish, and that she will get someone else to do it”. Not only was you rude but you wore sweatpants and a sweatshirt to work which made you look very unprofessional. I have never had a problem until that evening, needless to say will be traveling the extra 45 minutes to Winchester to do business else where.

I will not name specific employees but when you don’t take there advice you then get a bad attitude when you shop there. I was stopped from buying fish at this location because my tank wasn’t ready in there opinion. I went to another location to buy the fish with no problems. I told them about the situation with my tank they gave me advice and all turned out great. Now when I go to the ranson location I am so uncomfortable that I don’t even want to ask any questions. I will take the extra 1/2 drive to go to the other location that I purchased the fish from. I have been in the aquarium hobby for a very long time and have never felt so uncomfortable in a pet store.

Most of the items are overpriced and they sell part of a system but not all. Was recommended to the website by an employee. The animals are cute but that's about all they're good for.

Zach is the reason, he truly spectacular and because of his engaging personality, knowledge of all things pets and his professionalism we will be shopping at Petco more often than not. In addition to Zach everyone we interacted with was friendly, engaging and helpful. The manager of this store deserves a raise for having such truly happy, helpful employees.
