Red Wing - Midland, TX

Great customer care. I have been wearing RedWing boots for around 20 years. I use a very specific type of boot. I can only get it from Red Wing. So I ordered a pair of work boots around September or October of 2020 because my old ones were completely falling apart. But due to a company wide computer crash issues and the pandemic they didn't have the pair I need in stock anywhere or have a way to easily track down what I need. I was able to get a different but similar and a little higher costing pair from the Odessa Tx store but they are still not what I need. My back and feet were in a lot of pain with this similar designed pair. But I just couldn't wear the old boots any more. I called around to every Red Wing store i could find within 200 miles to locate the specific ones I need. But the Midland Texas store worked at it for 6 months trying to track down a pair for me without the ability to use their computer system. Finally March of 2021 they called me and said that they finally found a pair in my size. I picked them up and finally I can work without the foot and back pain.nnMost places would just forget about it and never call back. I thank them for not forgetting me and for actually caring about their customers needs.nnDue to a condition with my feet and back because of an injury many years ago I can only wear certain shoes. Red Wing is the only place that makes boots that I can wear that are an off the shelf boot with out having to have really expensive ones custom made. For my issue the specific boot I wear is actually one of the cheaper type of boot they make so I can afford to get more than one pair. I now have 2 pair. One for church and casual wear and one for work. And the one similar in design but not quite right as a backup pair. But if I had to order a custom made boot I couldn't afford even a single pair. I can buy 4 or 5 pair of these off the shelf Red Wings compared to just one pair of custom made boots from elsewhere.nnThanks again Red Wing!
