We arrived at a not very busy dogwood and waited 10min for service from a bartender that never greeted us or acknowledged us. We were ignored while other customer who arrived after us were served. We left after not even being noticed. Terrible service dont recommend this place. They are better places on 6th to spend your money.

Love there dedication to helping the community. They gave out free meals after the Austin Freeze and Chad, one of the owners, paddled the 21 mile Dam That Cancer event for Flatwater Foundation, helped raise a ton of money. Great place..Domain and Downtown Austin on 6th.

Love to drop in and grab the dogwood burger because it's topped with a fried green tomato and all the toppings.

I don’t wish to be mean. There were positives to our visit. We liked the two fellas on stage playing guitar and bass. The location is nice. Our cocktail server was pleasant. All this said, operationally, the restaurant is making mistakes that need to be addressed. There were a lot of bees hanging around the outside bar. On my three-day trip to Austin, I visited a bunch of outdoor bars in that general vicinity. This was the only bar where there were bees all over the 6th St. side of the bar. Even the bartender was bothered by them. Why were they there, and not at all the other bars? Typically bees are attracted to flowers, sugary liquids and alcohol. Given the recent weather killed all the flowers, scratch that item off the list of suspects. That leaves sugary liquids and alcohol. Better cleaning procedures stands a good chance of taking away what’s attracting the bees. Fruit flies are also attracted to sugar and alcohol. If you have this many bees hanging around, fruit flies can’t be far behind. Once you have fruit flies plaguing your operation, good luck eliminating them. Your best bet is to take away what’s attracting them. Clean up the bar. I noticed a reach-in cooler door in the outside bar was left open the entire time I was there. From my angle, it looked like there was one of more kegs in that cooler. Beats me why it was left open. There was a lot of dead vegetation in the outside area. Clean it up. I estimate it would take about an hour of someone’s time to cut back and remove the dead stuff. I ordered a can of Guinness that came ice cold along with a chilled glass. Guinness should be served in the low 50s, not ice cold, and if serving a can, bring a room-temperature glass. Don’t take my word for it. Ask your Guinness distributor to confirm this. Multiple times I saw the bartender serve several drinks by hand (carrying up to four at once in a cluster), when she had the option to use a server tray that was inches from her hands when she left the bar. It’s unsafe and unsanitary to do this, especially in COVID times. It’s bad training, bad supervision and a bad visual. It’s why the trays are there! Use them. In the hour I was there I never saw anyone resembling a manager come through the bar area. That’s...inexplicable.

I really enjoyed this place. The music was not too loud, the people were inviting and the night ended in a successful drunken stupor back to the hotel (in an Uber of course) without costing an arm and a leg. LOL.
