I've been here many times, so this is more of an overall reflection...nWhen I first walked in and saw all the memorabilia from Mainz I knew this place was for me. I was born in Germany and spent years over there. Walking in felt like home. The food is made with love! The beer is strong and smooth! The atmosphere is inviting!...and then there is live music, which is and has always been on point. I can easily say I love this place! Stop by try anything from the menu, and if you're hesitant then order a pretzel, I promise you won't be disappointed. As I've said before, I've been here numerous times (to the point friends get me gift cards from here since they know how much I love it)...never have they disappointed, never has the service been questionable, slow, or just lacking...never has the food been bad...Always. Ahoy to come, always a place to be with friends or even if you just stop by for a quick pretzel and beer...I highly recommend!!!
I love this place, nice selection of german beers food was pretty good. Great patio vibe the staff was very nice. My wife and I will definitely be back next time we're in town.
I was there just for a few minutes and will go back soon. Then I will give my opinion. So far so good.
Unfortunately, my first visit here was very disappointing mostly because the service was really bad. The waiter who was helping our party of six forgot my order twice and got my friend the wrong order. After bringing everyone their drinks (except me) I had to remind the waiter for my drink. I didn't mind UNTIL he got everyone's food EXCEPT mine... literally the five others got the food except me... After two trips to bring our food, I finally had to ask him for my food and he forgot to put my order in. Horrible service. As for the food it was alright. The place was really pretty and the live show was nice too.
The schnitzel and pretzels were pretty delightful. I dont drink, but it's a great vibe for those who do, especially with the live music. Service was excellent. I only leave a 4 bc the flavors aren't for everyone...
