Finally got to stop and eat lunch in the house where they filmed The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This has always been on my list of places to visit firsthand. The house itself is comfortable and inviting, the bar area is fun, and the outdoor seating is great on nice days. The staff were all very friendly and encouraged us to take a look around. You are allowed upstairs and in some areas downstairs as well. We ordered our food and looked around the house while we waited. The food came in a reasonable time and was very good. I would recommend stopping in and enjoying a meal here.

The food is definitely worth the wait! I had the crab cakes Benedict and my husband had the chicken fried steak. Everything was made from scratch and they even added peppers to my potatoes to add a little kick. The staff was very friendly and kept our cups filled. I sadly could not even finish my plate with the generous portions. Can’t wait to try something new

Nice place. Nice people but the service is lousy. I have eaten there several times and often disappointed. Tried it again recently to see if conditions have improved but they have actually gotten worse. They were out of most of the beers on the menu that we tried to order. The salads were delivered after our meal. The fish was grilled instead of blackened. They charged us for condiments we did not order and did not eat. I would like to support local business in Kingsland but I have eaten here for my last time.

The house in the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, renovated and removed from its’ first property in Round Rock, and turned into a steak house-y type place with a cool bar, snacks, and cool cover bands come play on the deck on the wkends. Love it. Will return ud83dude0eud83dudc4cud83cudffb
