Do NOT go to this location. Go to the Nashville location. We did not have a good experience. The doctor and her nurse were ok - very friendly if not helpful. Part of what I paid for was a breathing test which they could not administer because their machine was not working. The two people working the desk were not at all friendly. One acknowledged it herself and said she was still asleep. The doctor told me she was prescribing an inhaler that may or may not work but we could try it. She neglected to tell me that there are no generic forms available and it would be $75. Most doctors we see (and we see a LOT of them) at least let you know ahead of time or warn you about the cost so you can discuss your options. Then we went downstairs for a chest x-ray. The woman at the desk in the basement where the x-rays and lab are was literally standing up, pointing and YELLING at a patient. I was by the television and couldn't understand exactly what was going on but this patient was very calm and was trying to say that no one called him for an hour. She kept yelling at him, calling him a liar, and carrying on. It was uncomfortable for all of the patients in the waiting room. After he left, she kept on ranting about it to others who worked there. She should be fired for yelling at a patient that way. He was never rude and never raised his voice. Follow-up with our doctor has been terrible. She said she would call with the x-ray results that afternoon. She never called. I ended up leaving a message with a nurse the next day and someone called me back the day after that. I also tried to call to discuss options for medication other than a $75 prescription that the doctor wasn't even sure would help. The doctor has never bothered to call me back but a nurse did call me back about 4 days later. After we talked, she was going to consult the doctor and call me back. It took almost a week to get a call back. Instead of one brief conversation with the doctor that would have resolved everything, I've had to go through nurses as intermediaries who don't relay my questions accurately and take a week to call back. I finally gave up. On top of all of this, they billed me for an office visit for the doctor and an office visit for the x-ray, even though insurance does not allow more than one office visit to be billed by a provider in one day. The x-ray should have been billed as co-insurance - NOT an office visit. We will not be back. I STRONGLY recommend going to the office at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville. I would NOT go to the Franklin location. I wish I knew who I could call at Vanderbilt about the woman working in the x-ray lab downstairs. I can't imagine Vanderbilt wants someone like that ruining their name.
