Vanderbilt Children's Urgent Care Murfreesboro

My 7 yr old had a sedated mri. The child life specialist, Emily, was so wonderful and really made all the difference in the world. She soothed my very nervous little boy and he ended up handling the entire experience really well and I think thats majorly because of her.

Brought my son in for a weird rash Tues Aug 25th. Front desk lady was super helpful. Nurses helpful. Wait was WAY to long. Came in around 6:45pm and was finally seen about 9:10pm. Doctor Shannon Lee (not a normal doctor for this clinic) didn’t seem sure about diagnosis, yet wanted to transfer to Vandy Peds ER in Nashville and hoped to do possible high dose antibiotics in ICU without doing the first test. She asked me about potentially transferring in an ambulance which I politely declined because my toddler was fine minus the odd rash. Then she progressed by accusing me of abuse. Saying that he looked burnt! So either she lied about the initial diagnosis to get me to the other hospital or she lied about being concerned about the abuse charge because I wouldn’t transfer in the ambulance. To say I was shocked is an understatement. I passed I don’t know how many emergency rooms and urgent cares to specifically get him to one geared for children which I told her. I took my son and ran out the door. Police knocked on my door in the middle of the night. Had my 5 year old upset because she thought her mom was going to jail, simply because I disagreed with a doctor. Two Paramedics (who showed up at around 2:30 am thanks to the initial complaint), Two additional hospital Visits ( one to centennial peds with a transfer to Vandy peds), and 2 dermatologist visits later and we still aren’t sure exactly what caused his rash; however, NO-ONE but this doctor even suspected abuse. Again, this doctor was a fill-in from another location, but she was still hired in by the same company which makes me question ever going back.

I have two sick kids here we waited over an hour in the car to be called in got called in and have been in the back for over an hour and haven’t seen anyone!!!! This is ridiculous and I will NEVER bring either of my kids back. Still haven’t seen a doctor and I’m about to leave.

I highly recommend Vanderbilt Children's Urgent Care. I brought both my kids here and they got us in and out! The staff were friendly and professional! Haven't had to wait hours but I agree with the previous review, you will wait just as long if not longer at ER and pay more. Thank you Vanderbilt for providing us with this urgent care.

This is the worst Vanderbilt clinic ever horrible service and they automatically accuse you of abuse instead of what you are actually being seen
