I've lived in the area for most of my life and had never been here until now. A pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff. Mary was delightful and made excellent recommendations for us first-timers. I got the chicken fried chicken because it's still technically fried chicken and I was feeling boneless that evening. The macaroni and cheese is...fine. I think it's a gamble almost anywhere you go. The chicken here is really good. The best in STL? That's a matter of opinion. It's definitely worth trying. Prices are very fair and a reason I'll be back. This is a reputable fried chicken restaurant so you can be sure the placed gets crowded at dinner time with older folks. Arrive by 5 and you can probably sit right down and enjoy a meal without having to wait too long for boomers and large families to finish their culinary decathlon. The is parking available across the street and behind the restaurant, provided they're not full.

Most famous of fried chickens. We went there to honor my sister we grew up together. Her brother and her family always go there for any special. Recently we went there for brother's passed away. More spirit.. enjoy.. laugh together. It was so nice. I want to go there again.. This is likely history to us..

I'm always satisfied when I go here to eat! We celebrated my mom's 66th birthday there last night and had a medium sized crowd with us. They were willing to accommodate no questions asked while obeying the CDC guidelines. The staff was very courteous and got our meals out to us as quickly as possible considering the size of our party. Big bonus was that the price of the meals were very very reasonable. Thank you Hodak's!

Absolutely love all the chicken decor. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Food was hot and good, slaw is more savory than most places and finely sliced. It was surprisingly refreshing for cabbage and mayo. Breading on the livers was light, which is nice, and the service was good. Portions were ample. Our drinks were never empty despite the size of the place. Lots of seating and nobody is forgotten. Kind of wish the tvs were captioned.

Great place! Really decent prices and good food. Our server, Tim, was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time there!
