Excellent response to COVID measures! Still could have our fish and chips this Lenten season. Things will be better when it’s warmer out. Know that if you order a Black and Tan/Half and Half, they won’t keep the Guinness/Harp distinct and pretty, it’s just together.nAnyway, we were blessed by live music as well! You can’t beat their (I believe) homemade tartar sauce either!
McGurk's is undoubtedly a great Irish pub - great interior space as well as very substantial patio. Everything you'd want from an Irish pub, solid pub menu and an outstanding Guinness draft. Open Tuesday thru Sunday, and I say this because today I went to an Irish funeral at the Old Cathedral and McGurk's (5 minutes away), had opened their patio just for the reception on a Monday, despite being closed to the public. The people make the place - McGurk's has the right people, and it's the right place!
Holy moly this place is to die for!! If they would grace sold me the recipe for the potato soup well then they could have taken all my money!! Great did, great drinks, great staff, great atmosphere, great bar, great everything!! Will definitely be back!!
Great place. Their Irish bartenders have some pretty solid culture. Love this place. This place was saved as must go places from past I guess 7 years now. Finally able to visit it and I see how they were able to survive this long
They actually played Irish trad music. That's better than a lot of pubs in the States. Best corned beef and cabbage I've ever had. The bread pudding was great.
