The staff, from nurses to therapists to administrators - everyone treated my elderly mother with superior care and concern. My mother has needed their expertise twice now and we can’t stop raving about the top-notch professionalism that every single one has shown. Even the cleaning crew were polite and friendly while they made sure her room was immaculate. If you, or someone you know, will need rehabilitation ... don’t hesitate to recommend The BEST SSM Rehabilitation at Lake Saint Louis. You will not regret it.

This facility is truly a gift. The entire staff have shown us caring and compassion all throughout my husband's stay, and accommodated my needs to be by his side while working remote. He could not have been in better hands!

While the rehab program was pretty good, it did take me talking to some of the supervisors before the therapist actually listened to me and how I felt and what I was wanting to gain through therapy. The therapists wanted me to push through the pain no matter how much pain that put me in and regardless of the consequences later on. But once we all got on the same page, therapy was fantastic and I felt I made more gains.nThe food was nothing to write home about. I'd recommend bringing in snacks from home. My breakfast always arrived cold or the nurses would reheat it in a microwave and ruin it(they evidently don't know you can't microwave eggs, bacon, biscuits & pancakes- most of those items all on the same plate without any type of covering such as a moist paper towel). The other is I'd have is I'd order my meal but something would be missing when they delivered my meal. My last day, food service treated me like it was my fault this stuff was happening and made me wait for a replacement meal till after everyone else in the entire hospital was taken care of first. Chris told me is was going to be a long while before I got my breakfast. I guess it's my fault food service sent the food up cold so the nurse heat it up in the microwave trying to make it hot but only ruining the entire breakfast and I, as the patient, have to pay the consequences of everyone's stupidity. So my advice is to order food that is supposed to be cold especially for breakfast. You can get a warm lunch or dinner...not piping hot but it's warm and not too bad usually.nAnother complaint was my shower water temperature. It was never hot. It was barely luke warm and it never mattered what time of day I took a shower, the water was always cool to luke water when turned as hot as I could get the faucet knob to go. I told lots of people about the problem but it was never resolved before I left.nA majority of the nursing staff and techs were fantastic. A few of the nurses and techs really stick out and would go above and beyond for their patients. Those people deserve recognition and awards. Thank you Emily, Donna, Casandra, Lisa, & Lawrene for making my stay more bearable when all I wanted to do was go home, you comforted me, listened to me, and laughed with me. You lifted my spirit at the exact right time I needed it. Thank you so much for being there for all of your patients. You guys are amazing!nWhile I'm not going home walking 100%, I am going home about 100% independent. That feels amazing. I feel prepared to go back to work and I plan to continue physical therapy outside of the rehab program. They have given me the tools, now I just have to apply them.
