Pretty sure this place gave me PTSD. The night shift staff were incredibly rude and insensitive. Treated me like I was a criminal despite the fact that I never had any physical altercations. However, it did turn my life around thanks to ONE awesome nurse, Gina. If it weren't for her I might still be locked up there...Seaside desperately needs better ethics training.

Staff is rude and unprofessional. Staff telling patients that they were going to hurt them if they didn’t be quite. Male staff going into female rooms with the door shut. Patients having to beg for their needed medications. I would NEVER send a loved one or even a stranger to this place. This place needs to be shut down or at the very least ethically evaluated. They violate so many laws, treat their patients like criminals, and humiliate patients. I spent 7 days in there. There are countless more reasons why this place is horrible. I am a mental health professional myself (everyone needs help) and I would never ever ever send one of my clients here. This review is for the location off of woodland drive.

My patients that I admit to Seaside don’t have computers at home. But voice they enjoy being at Seaside. Great food, friendly faces and Helpful. The care is great. My patients go home looking better than they did coming in.nThey always make the patient feel comfortable because going behind a locked door isn’t easy.nMental health is scary.nThey also wish the doctor had a private practice. They would follow up with him and his Nurse practitioner.nIt makes me feel good when they have had a good experience.

A prison. Not a mental health facility. Staff is rude, & put a fake front upon patient first entering. NO professionalism whatsoever. Terrible conditions. Treatment of patient & family as if the patient is in the prison system. Staff talks to family & patients as if they are criminals. Food like sludge/slop. (Eggs for dinner??!!) Whatever the hell is going on in there, this place needs to be SHUT DOWN. Severely depressed and psychotic patients walking in & out of other patients’ rooms, & definitely not a safe place. If your family member is in there, keep in close contact with the Coroner’s office. If you are not given the consideration of respect & familial participation for the betterment of the patient, call the coroner’s office to report.. There are NO activities for the patients, no books, nothing!!! White walls, windows with cloudiness, so that the patient doesn’t see the light of day. Looks and feels like an insane asylum.. This place is AWFUL for anyone with a mental health condition!!! If you aren’t depressed when you get there, you sure will be when you are admitted!!!
