Do not waste your money here! Where to start? I have had more than one bad experience there. The only reason I returned is because the Kenworth dealer in town did not accept my warranty. The first subpar experience was when I brought my truck in to have an overhead valve adjustment for regular maintenance. While there, I asked them to just do a thorough walk around and make sure everything looked good since the truck had just hit 500k miles. They came back and said I had a loose clamp on my exhaust and a leaking power steering reservoir. Their suggestion was to change the gasket inside the reservoir. I told them not to because I had just changed it and the leak did not stop. I said there must be a crack or a hose leaking. They came back and said the clamp on that was loose, but they tightened it. No need for a new gasket now. The second loose clamp on the exhaust was never tightened. I will contribute that to the person working in the office that very obviously does not know anything about trucks. I stated that i had a malfunction indicator light on after an oil change. She told me to point to a picture of the light. I said that I would like for them to look into why the light was on. It was code U1011, a communication error with the ecm. I have the Davie4 software that tells me what the error codes are. I get the truck back I am told the light that was on was for low fuel pressure after my filters were changed. Not true at all. I was charged 1/2 an hour of labor for them not to troublshoot my error code. I also had a very slow leak on my differential that was overlooked on their “walk around” that I paid another 1/2 hour of labor for. I asked them if they noticed a leak and was told “ oh yeah, they are both leaking” only after I mentioned it. I was told I needed a part that I did not and the loose clamp was not tightened, which caused my truck to not do required passive regenerations. The truck derated and I had to spend two days in a hotel and pay another shop for the same thing they supposedly had done a couple days prior. Not to memtion I had to re-power my load paying $6000. This is what lead me up to the decision to never take my truck there again. But once again, I gave them another shot. I came back in a couple weeks later to have both differentials resealed. Was quoted around $800 for the job. Then was emailed another quote saying there was a miscommunication between the technician and the person doing the estimates. The new quote was $2900. Since the new quote was so much higher, I called and asked for them to check my carrier/center bearing while it was all taken apart. I did not want to have to pay for all that labor again shortly down the road. Was told no problem, they would look at it. I got a call about 20 minutes later saying that it looked good and there was no need to replace it. I also asked for my clutch to be adjusted. Was charged $85 and told my clutch was not adjustable. They also told me that I needed a whole new 5th wheel because they could not adjust it and have it properly lock. They said it could not be rebuilt and i needed a whole new top plate. I bought a rebuild kit from truck pro and had a trusted mechanic rebuild it. Upon remounting the rebuilt 5th wheel to the frame of the truck he noticed my driveshaft about to fall out of the “good” carrier bearing. He called me and advised me to get it replaced asap. I then sent pictures of this obviously worn out bearing to Blake at Peterbilt. He said yes, it looks like it needs to be replaced. He had just told me 25 miles earlier that I was good to go. So how was it good then, but not now? I am still waiting to hear back on that matter. Sorry for the long review, but i feel it is good to include the whole story.
