My mother-in-law has been treated very well at Pruitt Health for 3 months. During Covid-19, they have some confident front door receptionist who answer your questions and help you. The staff has taken care of my medically needy mother-in-law in a loving way. We are pleased!
My grandmother has been at PruittHealth Austell for almost 3 years. Her dementia has progressed rather rapidly, more so during this pandemic. Most of the staff at PruittHealth have ensured that her basic needs are met under the circumstances. I visit frequently from the window and can tell that she is clean and food is offered. She has had some other health issues to arise which have been detected quickly and handled appropriately including immediate notification to me via telephone. I must take this opportunity to commend the receptionist -Sandra who consistently goes above and beyond to facilitate communication between me and other staff. Also, there is a maintenance staff- Jimmy, who is exceptional- he is patient with her when her landline or television need attention. There is one particular CNA- David- who continues to cheerfully take care of my grandmother, even when she is extra difficult or demanding. This last year has been a challenge for all, however, PruittHealth Austell Administration has shown concerted efforts to meet those challenges effectively.
This place is not a very up to date with handicap complicate. My relative is a resident in this facility and I will list a few problems we and our family member has incurred while residing there.n1- Fell and broke ankle - was not seen in the ER until 12 hours after fall. Even the ER dr questioned why. Returned to his room with a soft cast split. When it started to unravel no one could help him re-wrap his ankle because they didn’t know how. That one response received.n2-Personal possessions disappearing. No one can give answer why.n3- Gifts/packages sent in the mail to resident never being delivered to said resident. Contact people at facility and no one returns call to answer your questions. As of today, still have not heard back about the “supposedly investigation” started by facility.n4-Calls answered by receptionist at this facility are truly lacking in professionalism. Ask for someone and you are transferred to an ever ringing voice mail. NO ONE at this facility ever returns your calls.n5- Revolving door of employeesn6- No communication from home office to facility about coordinating in person visits. Experienced this just recently.n7- Very antiquated environment. On PruittHealth’s website taught the latest in services and/or patient rich environment with socialization and equipment. Residents are lucky if the WiFi works for their TVs or whatever they are fortunate to have for socializing.nI could go on and on about this location. I firmly believe this place needs the Director or CEO of PruittHealth pay an unannounced visit to this location. I would be more than happy to discuss why I am rating one of his facilities so low.
My Father experienced zero care at Pruitt! He came home with a bed sore, and huge injury on his foot. PruittHealth has exhibited awful healthcare for my dad. Stay away!!
This facility let's patients sit in their own faces for hours. Hide the items that family member brings them like Birthday cards,etc then tells the patients it's not their job to give it to them. They also do not provide the rehabilitation that the patient is is there to receive. They put the patients walker out of the patients reach. So they can't get to the bathroom. They deny the families request to talk with thg he patient via the patient telephone. They also do not answer the phone when you call. I had to call over 6 times. Do not send a live one here. They have been deceitful to the patient and to the family. If I ccould I would rate this facility a -10 on a scale of 1 to 5.
