I know many people have asked me how our experience was having a baby during covid so I figured I’d jump on and share a review. First off this was our second child so we did have an experience with another hospital close by to compare with it. Overall the experience was great. The nurses we had were awesome and super caring. They all wore masks the whole time and we were respectful of all of that. The team gave awesome care to our new boy as he needed oxygen right off and they are calm and make sure he was doing well. My wife had to have a covid test when we were admitted and thankful that came back negative. To go in and out of the hospital I had to get a temperature screen each time each was fine. If I wasn’t in the room I had to wear a mask at all times. The visitor rule at the time was that I as the husband could be there and one other visitor during the duration of the stay but that changed the day we had the baby so for the second day I was the only one allowed and that was marked by a wristband. Not sure how it has changed but that was June of 2020. I wouldn’t hesitate to have my wife deliver there again.

My mother received such great care here when she came in for an emergency and was kept for observation overnight. ER doctor Joel Taylor and nurse Erin Owens were especially knowledgeable, kind, informative, and helpful. Thanks so much!

If you need to go through registration or imaging...DON’T come here. The definitely do not have good customer service! Can’t seem to be polite or be bothered to check through faxes orders. Love McKay Dee! Not sure what the problem is here! The highlight as Char! She was wonderful!

Sadly the ER experience was horrible. I've had to take both of my elderly parents in and it feels like the hospital is anxious to rush them out. The treatment they sent them home with didn't work and both ended up having to go the ER again. The staff is lazy and I heard them gossiping about my Dad. I tried calling to ask a question and the girl who answered in the ER was rude and acted like I was a huge burden and inconvenience to her. They don't care about actually helping, they just want to get you in and out. Save your loved ones and go somewhere else, it's not worth it, I don't care how fancy it is.

We started using Layton Hospital and the Layton Parkway Clinics for our family care a few months ago, and we have had great experiences every time. A visit to the ER, a couple of InstaCare visits, well child checks for the whole crew (Dr. Rafferty is awesome, and so thorough), a Sports Med visit (Dr. Todd May is incredible), and that's not all of our interactions at the hospital. Each time we've been there, I've been impressed with the prompt service (very little wait time, except when waiting for results from testing or imaging, which is totally understandable). Docs have been so nice and thorough, nurses have been so nice (my child in the ER was totally spoiled throughout the visit) and everyone is so good about following appropriate COVID precautions to ensure our safety and theirs. Definitely happy with this hospital for my family!
