Kind Walking

I was there on March 6, 2021 shopping with my niece and her son. I was visiting from out of state on vacation. I went into the store and began to put my mask on and the woman at the counter demanded I put on my mask. I was shocked at her angry attitude, as I was already proceeding to put it on. She then asked my great-nephew if he had a mask and he said “Yes, ma’am.” He was also in the process of putting his mask on. He has a physical restriction and really shouldn’t be putting a mask over his face, but because of ignorance shop owners make shopping nearly impossible. I tried to explain to her that the mask mandate excludes conditions that prohibit mask wearing, like my sweet great-nephew. She yelled that he can go outside if he can’t wear a mask!! This lady was so out of control!! I said these masks don’t work anyway, as proven by our Marines that did a quarantine of over 3,000 new recruits...true story look it up... she went NUTS and screamed at us to leave the store!!! I mean she threatened to call the police because I didn’t agree with the mask mandate! So we proceeded to leave but apparently that wasn’t enough! She was so angry as I walked out she slammed the door onto me!! She literally hit me with the door!!! My niece saw it and told her that is assault!!!! I should have called the police and reported it. I may still. Beware!!!! And it sounds like the lady that screamed at me and hit me with the door is the one defending herself in the response. Again, she screamed at me, my niece and nephew are witness. Should have called the police right then and there.

My wife has been coming every year buying at least 4 pairs of shoes at this place for several years. We were introduced to the rude girl tgis year as other reviews have stated. My wife says she will find her Birkenstocks elsewhere from now on.

Thank God the name of the shop is Kind Walking! The woman there was everything but kind. I am getting ready to buy my daughter a $100 pair of Birkenstock sandals. As I waited for her to try them on, I was sitting on a bench (tired of walking). She told me to move over in such a rude way. I am nor spending my money on your store. VERY UNKIND.

My husband and I actually bought TWO pairs this year and it was because of the sales gal Laura. Last year when we were there I wanted a pair of Birkenstocks (it’s all I wear) and the sales lady was SO over the top rude to me that I wouldn’t have cared if they were half off. I don’t expect to be doted on but a lil customer service goes a long way with us. Laura was AMAZING and we will be back for sure. My husband loves the keen Gracias she kinda helped him along in his decision with lol. Thank You again

Nice place, had exactly what I was looking for.nMy favorite Birkenstocks but lots of other shoes I would love to try. Very friendly salesperson as well.
