Blue Ridge Hospice Strasburg Thrift Shop

Always liked this store. Very neat and organized. I Used to frequent this store very often but after not being here a while, I noticed the beginning bids on the silent auction items were way higher than they used to be. And other prices on items seemed a bit higher too. ( pair of off brand boots 15$) ( coffee mugs 4$) ( plain shirts 8$) I know this is all for a good cause, but it's called a thrift store for a reason. Should be affordable. I will stick to my SPCA thrift store. It's for a good cause too and always great prices.

Went to this store during Covid-19. Unfortunately due to underlying medical conditions wearing a mask is not practical for me so I initially did not walk into the store with a mask on. (I am a 90% disabled Veteran) nonetheless when walking into the store I was asked to put a mask on, I advised the counter person of my medical condition and she advised me that it was store policy regardless of whether I had a medical condition or not. So I obeyed as I still wanted to shop at this location even though this was a large inconvenience I went out to my car and got a mask. The mask I had gotten covered my mouth but not my nose. During check out the employee assisted my wife and I and looked at me and told me I was required to have my nose covered in the store.... I was floured as the policy didn’t state the kind of mask what the mask was required to cover or anything and even after I complied this was still not enough. I gladly refused and walked out of the store. My wife still inside with my young son. After I had walked out the lady apparently was smiling at my son making small friendly jokes in which my son looked at her confused because of the mask (No problem with this) however when my son didn’t react she lowered her mask to show him her smile... in my opinion this went against everything she was preaching to her customers.. and was a complete slap in my face... I of course didn’t see this but my wife had told me this after we left... absolutely absurd and will not be shopping here again mask or no mask....

Will sell you a mask for $2 a piece but won't let you shop if you have severe asthma and have kids under 10 with you.
