Great pizza and awesome beers/ciders on tap. Food and drink only eclipsed by the incredibly warm service! Gem of a place, great stop when exploring Sperryville or as a reward after scaling Old Rag Mountain.
The pizza used to be really good. However the pizza now is smaller and cost more and doesn’t taste as good as it used to. The customer service is also not very good. People are somewhat elitist in this establishment and care little for the locals. If your coming from dc or maryland you should be fine.
Fantastic place. We were in the area for a few days and went here twice— brought our pizza to Pen Druid both times. Both the hog in the vine and the herb pizza were fantastic, but the mushroom melt was our sleeper pick for the best thing on the menu
Got a margarita pizza with fire roasted mushrooms for an extra $3.50. Crust was thin and chewy with some crisp to it (not the best wood fired I’ve had, but decent), sauce tastes fresh and delicious. Barely noticed the mushrooms- I was surprised for $3.50 I got what looks like 1-2 sliced up mushrooms.. Overall, I recommend it, but wouldn’t pay for the mushrooms again. Service was kind and quick.
The pizzas are very good. It’s nice they have a vegan friendly pizza as well. Didn’t give 5 stars because there have been a few times they’ve gotten our carry out orders wrong.
