River Terrace Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center

River Terrace is heads above the rest of all the other rehabs we’ve ever been involved with. My grandmother receives such personal care. People are so compassionate, communicative and understanding especially with families not being able to see their loved ones during this tricky time of Covid. I would like to single out Dianne Staples especially, the activities director. She goes above and beyond to make sure the residents are happy social and active. Thank you to all of the staff and everyone who’s done such a great job caring for my grandmother!!

This is going to be long, but they have been a support, I never expected.nBoth of my parents recently resided at River Terrace. My dad started his journey there first and then because the care there was so incredible, we moved my mom there a few months later. The staff truly go above and beyond. My parents resided in different parts of the nursing home, but the staff would make the time to bring my mom out to see my dad. My dad had a difficult transition into the nursing home, but the staff worked hard to make him comfortable and work with him. They made sure that he was taken care of, always felt safe and he was not in a good place, they always took extra time to talk or walk with him. My mom is in the memory care unit and they are just phenomenal. OT and PT worked with both mom and dad and they made some great strides with both of them that we never thought we would see. Since moving from her previous facility, mom is able to feed herself again, which we never thought we would see. Dad was able to do more with walking with assist, etc.nMy dad recently passed away at river terrace, during this pandemic, to say that what we knew about the staff, all of the staff was confirmed is an understatement. Once we knew that my dad was passing, they really went above and beyond. Everyone from their administrators (Miatta, Glory, Julie Amy), Dr. Hakim, all of the wonderful nurses and aides (not sure on spelling, but Kerri, Lori, Ashton, Aggie, Tony, Robinson, Anne, Jen – there are so many more) were incredible. Jen and Lynn at the front desk are amazing! They know you when you call and always brighten your day with their friendly demeanor and welcoming personalities! Diane, Diane, Diane, we’d be lost without you; YOU ARE INCREDIBLE! Give her a raise! uf04a You have worked tirelessly for the past 8 months for not only my family, but all families. You have worked to coordinate phone calls, video calls and in person distance visits. Diane and team, I cannot thank you enough for coordinating all of this. Being able to see dad while he was passing and mom after meant more to me than I can say. I will be forever grateful for the love and support that you have offered to me during all of this, from the start of their stay to now, I have always felt welcome! I cannot tell you how above and beyond River Terrace has gone to for not only my parents, but for myself and the rest of my family. I cannot imagine being anywhere else. I can never repay them for all of the love and care that they have shown my parents. They not only treat my parents as part of their family, but they really do adopt all of their residents into their lives. I would recommend that anyone in need of a nursing or rehab facility send their loved ones here. The staff here genuinely care and love their residents.

I'd like to start off by saying our Father resided here at River Terrace a few years back. What was a very difficult time for our family was also a time we felt fortunate knowing and trusting our Father was finally in a nursing home where he was receiving the very best of care. We felt at home and everyone there was an extended part of our family. Our Mother was by his side everyday as were we. We feel blessed to have so many fond memories! We couldn't bring our Father home for the holidays so we brought the holidays to him. With the help of everyone here that was made possible. After our Father passed away our Mother continued on everyday at RT volunteering her services. Now a few years later our Mother resides at RT. Not to be able to just simply walk in and see our Mother everyday is so difficult to say the least. Diane the activities director has gone above and beyond to keep us updated on what's going on in the nursing home in general and informing us on the everyday care our Mother is receiving . Allowing us indoor visits(safely) when possible and facetime. We see our Mother one way or another every week and we are once again fortunate to know and trust that she is receiving the very best of care because she is back with our extended family at River Terrace.

The staff of River Terrace has been wonderful. It gives me comfort that they are so kind and good to my Mom since I can't be with her. Diane, activities director has residences engaged in great activities, especially music They now offer Life Loop app which keeps us engaged with my Mom's daily activities and it's an easy way to communicate. She also has family members on a facetime schedule which they have done a great job at making it happen week after week.
