Really nice staff and enjoyable birthing experience. The breastfeeding clinic offered weekly was really great to make sure my baby was eating enough and the staff helped me with all my questions every week.

We had a fantastic experience delivering at the BirthPlace. Having given birth at a big fancy hospital before, we weren't sure what to expect at a smaller regional hospital. Now I can say that it is is a superior, more personalized, more nurturing experience. The nursing staff is exceptional and gave us wonderful care. We saw the same nurses over two days, and they were all kind made the entire birthing experience feel calm and safe. No one is ever pushy about anything and carefully explained every decision point to us. Other pluses:n- Rooms are big and comfy / cozy and didn't feel like a hospitaln- We didn't have to switch rooms between labor/birthing to recovery. They just cleaned up and adjusted the room! (Think this is new for Covid safety)n- The baby doesn't leave your room the entire time (unless you want the nurses to take over). All testing, etc is done in your room and the providers come to you. So you're not going back and forth to the nursery, etc. This matters a lot bc you get more sleep!n- Lots of broth on hand whenever you want it, very helpful to get breastfeeding on a good start.n- Lots of breastfeeding support, really nice lactation consultant, but never pushy about your decisions. I think I had a nurse come by to help with every feed, even just for emotional support.n- Oversized jacuzzi tubs for laboringn- Probably because it's a smaller hospital, we got to see the same nurses through our stay which was great for continuitynnOverall 10/10 would recommend!
