Referred to cardiologist by my primary care physician from this office. Had to go to Banner for cardiology appointment as Kaiser contracts out because they have limited services in Northern Colorado. CT of heart ordered by a Banner cardiologist. Banner did not call me to make appointment after 48 hours so I called scheduling as advised to make the appointment. Spent 4 hours trying to make appointment as Banner says it takes Kaiser 14 days for preauthorization. I escalated matter as I had been having chest pain and had EKG changes. The appointment was scheduled and after I already have the test Kaiser sends a mailing saying the procedure is denied. So I guess that means I will have a bill collector down my throat as I will not pay the bill. I feel very dehumanized because I am. Watch out. You think because you were referred to a cardiologist you would be able to follow the doctor’s orders. Kaiser must control doctors’ decisions. Doctors do not practice medicine anymore. Big business does. I still have chest pain. I feel like my heart is like a time bomb ready to explode. Maybe it will. Maybe that would be best anyhow. We must have health care for all! It definitely is from that tge way it currently exists.

It Took to long to get an appointment. Everything is done by computer and it’s hard to get a person to talk to.
