Sunset Lounge Rooftop Bar

I’ve played at this club several times with the house pianists’ trio and I absolutely love it! Plus they have great wine and appetizers!

This rooftop bar sits atop The Elizabeth Hotel. This hotel, to include the emporium and magic rat - the restaurant and bar/venue on the ground floor - is a really lovely space. The sunset lounge rooftop bar is sort of the crowning jewel to it all. Ft collins doesn’t have a particular spectacular skyline but the view from this lounge is still quite pretty. High end cocktails, adequate beer and wine selection. It’s on the pricey side but you are paying for the location to an extent.

Can I give this 10 stars????? Amazing live jazz, not overly crowded, waitresses are always very attentive and on their game! Comfortable and stylish furniture too, I know that’s weird to say but some places you go to and it’s like “ oh hey that looks neat” but then you somehow threw out your back in it. Anyways, my new go to for impressing friends or just to relax.

The scenery and ambiance is A+. The furnishings, view and jazz music are absolutely beautiful! The drinks need improvement. For such an upscale, high end bar, the cocktails do not have quality spirits to reflect the pricing and tend to taste bland. I have to ask for better whiskey and pay the additional upcharge. Overall, great experience for out of towners, but there are better places for cocktails and pours that are more cost effective and easier on your wallet.

The Sunset lounge is a great place to enjoy cocktails, and their Sunset Martini may be one of the best and most unique martini's I ever had. The views of Fort Collins are great (especially for sunset), and the atmosphere is very comfortable and swanky (lots of upholstered chairs or love seats). There is often live jazz as well. But the prices are high, and reservations are highly recommended
