Christie's On the Lake

Hostess yesterday lovely lady sat us quickly. Got waitress. We got tea and beer quickly. Pretty long wait for salad and poutine but it was delicious. I am medically Gluten free. Got great cob said big tender chicken sooo good Dressing was fine. Newmans balsamic which I like. Then I got cold and hostess cleaned a table in sun for us with great view. We had great lunch.

I waited for the host to seat me. No one came for about 10 min. I went in spoke to the bartender the bartender said the host will be there soon. I waited. Another employee passed me and I asked her if we can get seated . She said the host will get me. I waited about 10 more min. The host came and took a party of 5 to sit. And she said nothing to us. She left sat them and then we waited again. She finally came back and said how many. Nothing else. Nothing about a wait time. Not apologizing for the wait she just left. We waited again for about 7 min and just left the restaurant.nThat was a huge turn off. There was a lot of staff on there were some tables available that we could see infront of us. and no one could seat us.nnI didnt get to try the food so I am not reviewing that. This is for the service. It wasted a lot of time for me.

My wife wanted dinner with a view. The food was actually very good. We had calamari which had a General Tso's sauce and cherry tomatoes. I had a lobster roll and my wife had a grilled chicken salad. The cocktails were also good.

They ask customers to wear masks but tables not even 3 feet apart. Server was friendly. Food: Cobb salad, steak salad w goat cheese, and General Tso calamari very meh. Cobb salad had one ring of green pepper cut into fourths, and two grape tomatoes cut in half. Salad dressing I received on April 10 2021 was in a pouch dated November 2020. Stella Artois I was served was flat and warm. Would not reccomend.

Great Fish and Chips. Fabulous fish bowl drink. Awesome waitress. Made for a great evening! Definitely would go back!
