The Arnold House

Wonderful, cozy getaway. Highly recommend getting the snack box upon check in, it’s filled with awesome local munchies to keep in your room for a quick bite! The service was warm and personable and offered great recommendations. There are snowshoes up for grabs in the lobby which was great as we were there on a snowy day. And they encouraged us to take the blankets around the grounds if we needed to stay warm. Great couples getaway from NYC during covid!

I wish we had booked this spot to stay overnight but we ended up just swinging by for some snacks in their lower level tavern/ restaurant which was super cute, warm & cozy. Their smoked trout dip and goat cheese dip plates were incredible. And, feel this is common, but wish they gave more bread to match the amount of dip they give BUT IT IS SO GOOD. The goat cheese marinara situation is decadent and the pickled onions with the smoked trout was perfect. Will definitely be back in summer to take advantage of the lodge vibes and sit by the fire.

The Arnold House is a true gem! It ties with home as the homiest place I know of. The hotel staff (Katie especially!!) are extraordinarily accommodating, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel itself is intimate and invites conversation with other travelers with its many photo-worthy MCM seating areas, fire places, fire pit, tavern, and the greenhouse (which has all assortment of beautiful ornamental plants, but also citrus trees and music!). It has perhaps the most comfortable beds in the world, nice views from every window, and the coziest lighting that warrants excitement for nightfall. The tavern around back has memorably wonderful food, a great local beer selection, cocktail menu and staff (Lori! Vanessa!). I stay a few times a year for work and have had nothing but memorably great experiences. It really is upstate perfection!

The Arnold House really helped us out (thanks Nick!). After a long day of driving we called to see if there was a room. Wanted to get off the road. They rushed and prepped a room for us after service had ended for the day. Very nice of them to make up a room for us. Got to rest up, get some food at the tavern and enjoy a s'moore by the fire. Looking forward to coming back and spending more time here!

Had the most incredible weekend stay with girl friends in the Garden House suite. The food was yummy (kale salad & fried chicken ud83dudc4d) with breakfast prepared in trays. Greenhouse hosted yoga classes as well as craft activities. Would definitely want to visit again.
