I had a re-occurring issue from 5 years earlier. It was suggested I needed surgery . I was provided a list of surgeons and the sheet had already rated each of them( He was top 5) I decided to do my own research of to my expectations. I have never come across a Dr. having an exceptional 5 star rating. Every platform of rating is 5 star . I booked several visits to different surgeons to see if this surgery was actually necessary. Once I had my visit with Dr. Schrag, I was immediately impressed. He was exactly who I could trust to carry out the task .Anxiety was out of control the night before surgery but once I was admitted for the out patient procedure and Dr. Schrag arrived every emotion was contained. Dr. Schrag has a presence that is well received. He is definitely focused on each individual person . It’s great to experience someone whose disposition is of a caring nature. Yes , I said a prayer that morning in support of his thought process, his hands and the team around him for the procedure. Dr. Schrag is an impressive individual himself. 5 star is not nearly enough.

Dr. Schrag is th best and most comfortable surgeon. I had him twice. He made me feel like everything will go smoothly and it did. I highly recommend him for any type of surgery. I had my appendix removed by him. The post surgery visit was phenomal and he had the best bedside manner when he did his rounds at the hospital I stayed at.

I had a complicated surgery, thankfully Dr. Schrag was the surgeon who operated on me. If I can give Dr. Schrag a million stars I would! He was the first doctor to ever perform any kind of surgery on me and he made me feel so calm and comfortable I was never nervous. He doesn’t rush you out of your appointments and he comes and talks with you before and After the procedure. He also came out and put my mom’s mind at ease who was waiting in the waiting area while I had my surgery done. I felt as if he treated me not just as a patient but his own Family member or a close friend. He truly cares about his patients’ well being. He listens to all your concerns and answers any and every question you may have in detail. I had to have the right side of my thyroid removed and I expressed to him how important it was for me to have the smallest scar on my neck as possible. I am now a little over 2 weeks post op and his magic hand cut right on my natural neck crease to a point it looks less visible now than it did before I ever had surgery! I barely felt any pain even after I came home and let’s just say a week and a half after my surgery with Dr. Schrag I was riding a mechanical bull in Nashville and lasted nearly 5 minutes haha. He’s great! Don’t hesitate & try to go anywhere else. I wish he was my PCP so I can go to him more often with all my issues but I will forever recommend all my friends and family to him always ! Dr. Schrag is an all around amazing surgeon. He not only has excellent surgical skills, but he is well researched, up to date with the latest studies and technology, and has wonderful bedside manner. Top notch doctor and person!
