Brought my fiance there for complications after surgery. They put a tube through her nose and into her stomach. They said she had to be transported to the mayo and an ambulance would be ready in 15 minutes.nWe waited and waited. They kept telling her it would be there soon.nSIX HOURS LATER it finally got there.nWhen I finally got to talk to the doctor he told me he knew it would take that long.nWhen I asked why we weren't told, all he said was it was a communication error.nIt was not an error. THEY LIED TO US.nif they would have told us the truth we would have driven to the mayo ourselves and got there 3 hours earlier.nInstead they let her sit there in severe discomfort for several hours. To top it off the mayo said they had the tube too far into her stomach.nI suspect it was about getting insurance money.nIf you have any other options at all go anywhere else but here.nWe will.

Need better signage for covid test, myself and another car didn't know where to go with snowy weather. Also, the nasel swab is very barbaric, a coworker i know said she had a throat swab. It was pretty harsh the depth of the swab in my nose!

My family and I have used Essentia Health - Sandstone many times over the last 10 years, including in emergency situations. The hospital professionals, staff and facilities are top notch. We’ve always received excellent medical service, and have full confidence in the staff’s expertise. This is not just a standalone hospital - rather, it’s a vital and necessary part of our community. The staff cares about our community, and is always involved in local events and initiatives. We greatly appreciate our hospital and the people!

The staff was courteous and very friendly didn’t half to wait long to get in to see a doctor in the emergency room
