I have worked in labor jobs almost my whole life. I have owned about 15 different pair of work boots. I have learned that you get what you pay for when it comes to boots. Not in this case. I bought the “Hoss” work shoes over a year ago and I loved them. So I figured I would step it up to the 6” steel toe boots. They were $209 and I’m am not kidding when I say that they are the worst work boots I have ever owned! I have been wearing them for less than 3 months and there is already a hole in the leather where the steel toe is. I have owned Wal-mart boots that have lasted longer than these. Not to mention that these boots are extremely uncomfortable. When I called to talk to someone I was told to send the boots in (at my cost) for the inspection team to determine if the boots are defective. I finally got someone to agree to let me send in some pictures of what’s going on, And of course the response was “it’s not a defect, the boots are just worn out.” I don’t know about anyone else but I don’t think a $209 pair of boots should be so worn out in 3 months that the owner is asking what’s wrong with my boots.

This place is WONDERFUL. The staff are magicians - they basically took one look at my finance's feet and helped him get sized for wedding/dress shoes (which he was never able to find before!) We also got casual sneakers that look fun! After years of searching and settling for mediocre fitted shoes, this place made all the difference. FWIW, my fiance's feet are 12 5E. We are very grateful! :)

I have hated shoes shopping since I can remember. Until now. Perfect place if you have wide feet. Really good for those with tender feet widened by arthritis, like me. 3 pairs later, I can finally enjoy shoe shopping.

I have been a satisfied and happy Hitchcock customer for more than 20 years. I have purchased many styles, from dressy shoes to work boots and everything in between. Aside from being the only place in the world where I can buy shoes that fit, the staff are fabulous, friendly, and helpful.nnThere have been a couple of times that I needed to return shoes, for various reasons, but the exchanges have always come off flawlessly.nnMail order shoe buying is a pain - right where I never get a headache - but the folks at Hitchcock make it as good as it can be. My dream would be having a Hitchcock retail store near my home. If you need extra wide shoes, they have no equal.

Great shoes when they ship. I spent over $ 600 for my husband's birthday and one pair turned up with one back order update. Had to chase. Slack. I've spent thousands on shoes from this company, sick of waiting.
