A little pricey but the food was flavorful. All the sea food was a bit tough/over cooked but had amazing flavors.nShrimp and grits: polenta had great flavor and texture. Shrimp was a bit tough but excellent flavornScallops: on the smaller side of sea scallops and a bit over done but the pepper and onion sauce has a delicious smokey kick of flavor.nGrilled octopus: again, the sauce hits, absolutely delish, cauliflower and potatoes are great. Octopus itself has great flavors. I'm not familiar with octopus so I'm not sure what to think expect in terms of texture but this was a bit tough outter shell and a nice meaty inner.

I was dining alone just before 3 o’clock. I sat down in the end table near the very back end of the outside seating area. I ordered some rye whiskey that they did not have in stock. The waitress suggested something else turns out they did not have that so she substituted something called Putnam rye whiskey for an un aged whiskey it was OK. However I would not order it again. I Begin by ordering have a dozen oysters on the half shell the trout deviled eggs and then the grilled octopus tentacle. Everything was delicious the food was amazing. Only one comment the grill tentacle of octopus seemed a bit overcooked to me. The service was wonderful. And I enjoyed my experience very much. So much so that I left the waitress a $40 tip on a $60 check. Times are tough and I’m doing well like to spread the karma around it it makes me feel good to share my good fortune. So two thumbs up for trident in Hingham mass give it a try he will not be disappointed at the food or the service. The oysters are outstanding 100 times better than the ones from the restaurant directly across the street without naming names. I should be back soon to enjoy another great meal at the trident.

I just had dinner with my four-year-old daughter. The raw oysters were good. Overall everything was high-quality food, including the dishes from the kid's menu. My margarita was very refreshing. My daughter and I had a good time there, and the service staff was amiable. I will come back again.

Everything was great! ...appetizers, main, side dishes...and an incredible shortcake desert with fresh strawberries and blueberries, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream! The grilled octopus I had was great, but the street corn was to die for. Two others in our party had the salmon and it was excellent as were the fish tacos.
