We love the atmosphere. Food and drinks are great. Its our go to place near home.
Nice bar. Not very personable. Good menu. Felt like a number due to not being a regular.
If your looking to support a local business in these trying times Id recommend supporting this one. Rookies is the definition of a neighborhood bar. Their kitchen does a good job serving up Midwest bar fair. Be it a burger or an Iowa tenderloin they do it right. The bar staff is always friendly and attentive. It ain't fancy, but its friendly. And I'd take burger basket from a staff that remembers my name over just about anything these days.
Just went in for a bowl of soup and got a bonus a great bowl of chili all with a lovely young lady providing the service.nNow this place had a bunch of kids in mild revelry taking in football games on multiple TV's. Not rowdy but in groups of 2 to 10 talking sports and school. I just I asked if they had their ID'S CHECKED and the waitress just laughed. It seems they just look younger today than when I was that age hoisting a few beers. Oh well time marches on.
Good food, lots of TVs, clean, good service, received food in fair amount of time, but definitely pricey if you dont pay close attention to what your ordering, they have daily specials too
