Food today was awesome as always!!!!! This is my go to for soul food!!!! The servers are always smiling and happy!!!! I always get the same food half smoked chicken, squash, greens and cornbread. Food is consistently good!!!! Today i tried the lemon pound cake also delicious. Mr. Ed is usually there and always greets the customers and thank you for coming ud83dude0a

The food was typical southern food but the customer service was horrible. It felt like they didn’t want my business, and like it was a bother for me and my family to be there ordering food. It’s said because I’ve traveled to several countries and I’ve received better services in other countries than this restaurant. It’s sad because I am advocate for supporting black businesses and I will go out my way to support black businesses. I will never return back here because I feel that a restaurant is a hospitality business and deserve to be attentive and friendly.

This place use to have great food. I used to go there for the grilled ribs. They are no longer grill, the last time I went the food was terrible. And I used to love this food. I don't know what happened to the quality of the food, but it has gone down. Maybe profit over pride?

This was our first time visiting, and will say it was okay. After reading how business came about I had high hopes of eating the Ribs, and was not impressed as they were dry and sides were not for ribs today. My wife had the stew beef, greens, and rutabaga, and she said it was ok, plus I feel for $36.50 our portions should have been more than what we received. We may return in future but won't be to soon.

I just bought 2 rib plates for 26 bucks. One for myself and one for my daughter. Problem is the mash potatoes were spoiled literally and the ribs are old and tough. Never again. Simply said, I work too hard for my dimes and dollars. Never say never but I’ll pass from this day going forward. I’ve never had to complain of their food. But this is bad, unhealthy and spoiled “tired” food tonight.
