Wow .ud83dudc4f What an awesome experience. The entire staff seemed very knowledgeable. The curly haired receptionist was super polite and answered all the questions I had about vaccinating my puppy. The nurse (Sarah?) spent extra time discussing the best diet for my new puppy. The female vet (Dr Shepherd?) didn't act rushed at all. It was refreshing to have a vet who actually took her time and answered all of my questions. She was very thorough! While I was checking out I mentioned to the receptionist that I planned on having my dog groomed. She informed me that they do grooming here and she went and got the groomer who then took her time discussing exactly the best cut for my puppy. I would rate my experience here a 12 out of 10.

They were very quick to get me in when I called them. I was watching my sisters cat, and they calmed all my worries that I had with her. The Dr was very efficient and the ladies checking me in were very pleasant. They even answered all my questions about medications before I left. I would recommend them to anyone

Dr. Cary was the go to vet for all our pets. He was amazing. When we had to put our 17 yr old pit down because he had cancer and could no longer walk, Dr. Cary was there every step of the way with such tenderness for Pete and concern for us. He knew how much we loved Pete. Years later our Miss Abbey got really sick, she had lymphoma. He gave us 6 months. When her day came, Dr. Cary was on vacation, I was an emotional mess again. We had to have my baby girl put to rest because she couldn't breathe. He instructed the vet that was filling in for him what to do. When we got home, although he was on vacation, Dr. Cary called us to check on us knowing how hard losing my first dog was. He always went over and beyond. Not one time in the many years of being our vet did I ever hear him more concerned about money and the cost of what he had to do. He ALWAYS showed more concern for the animal. My experience yesterday was anything but. The gentleman that was doctor Cary's assistant is still there and he was great, but he was the only one next to the receptionists. The vet was chatty, she didn't give us time to answer her questions. We would start to answer and she would jump right in and think she could finish our answers with her opinion without listening. She was more concerned about pushing this procedure or that and not taking the time to actually hear what we were saying. I do not like how they take your pet to the back without you. Dr. Cary did most of his exams right there with you and your pet in the same room. The other assistant didn't seem like she wanted to even be there. There was no concern for our buddy. She came in with a list of costs and that was that. I realize not everyone is the same, no vets are the same. This place lost it's comforting feel for us. We will be finding another vet. I knew going in pretty much what was wrong, it took coming home and my neighbor for us to figure out what happened to our buddy. Now I just hope he recovers.

They took wonderful care of our cat, Persephone. Also got us in quickly and understood when we couldn't catch her to bring her in for first appointment.

Since AVS has taken ownership this place is absolutely amazing. We take all of our animals there and get great service. We even received a sympathy card when we lost one of our much loved dogs. They really understand that animals are family members and treat them as such.
