Service and atmosphere were great, but unfortunately you go out to eat to do more than socialize and be around folks. Every once in a while it would be nice to enjoy the food as well. Quite pricey in my opinion for two overcooked dishes. Scallops were rubbery and the fried chicken was over done. Only redeeming factor was that the chicken was still moist on the inside and the sauce on both plates was delicious. I was disappointed this time around because my trips here in the past have been quite pleasant.nnI think that the pendemic has forced a lot of places to step up, and Steel & Rye is no exception. The fish has been Sublime, and the sides have also been amazing. Keep up the good job, this has been the most consistent food I have experienced in a long while.

Love the interior and exterior of this restaurant. Small, local feel to the decor and warm service. Excellent bakery, can’t wait to go back after 4pm next time for the mussels.

Have heard many great things about this place and they were all right. Had a little bit of a wait but it was a Friday night, sat inside and the ambience is great. Started with the Charred Oysters and shishito peppers ... both out of this world. For our entrees we got the ricotta gnocchi and the hanger steak, 5/5 ok both. The bar was on point with the drinks also! Will definitely be back

Food was ok, a little pricey for the quantity. Pizza was brought out way before the other dishes (at least 10 minutes). He was mostly done eating before the three of us got our meals. My husband got this pasta mushroom dish that he really didn't like. The description doesn't explain that it is mostly mushrooms. No one came by to tell us about the wait or to see how the food was. You got to time this better. I liked my bowl, but it wasn't enough food for the price.
