I have places I like to eat at, but Mariposa is now my favorite. The menu is big enough to keep you engaged, is not overwhelming, offers excellent selections. The floorplan is done well and despite it's small footprint offers an environment that makes you feel as though you are in your own world. Service was excellent and the wait staff is attendant without being intrusive. My food came out promptly and displayed well.

The food and drinks are always amazing. The hardest part is getting through the store to the restaurant without spending yourself into debt.

I come here as often as I can because it is usually quite good. Today was a total disappointment starting with a negative attitude from the hostess. It appeared that they were under staffed. Perhaps they had a call off or just weren't expecting the volume of a Friday close to Christmas. That can be frustrating.nnI understand, but the hostess is the face of the restaurant and a good attitude is neccessary to set the tone of the customer experience. At least smile please. I'm paying over a hundred dollars for lunch. I don't want to feel like an inconvenience.nnToday our wait was long, our food was cold and we had to beg for drink refills.nnI will wait a while to come back to Mariposa, and if I see that hostess, I will definitely go elsewhere.

I always love dining at mariposa. The staff is always accommodating and the food is great. They have pecan tuna sandwiches and chicken salad that's not on the menu. If you are in the mood to feel like a fancy rich bish, this place is great. Pricey but not too outrageous and the broth and popovers before your meal are delightful.
