Had a terrible experience 2 nights in a row. Terrible Communication From The Kitchen. Store only had about 4 people total in store including me and my spouse. Long Story Short.. we waited 20 minutes just for them to say they can’t make anything but pizzas after I watch her hand off a burger to her friend. Staff started to argue with each other and another team member asks the other “why can’t she make the philly we ordered” and she replied “because I can’t find it” so I asked politely “why couldn’t this be communicated to us as we sat there directly in front of them waiting for it.” She then replied “because we didn’t know, but we will give you a refund.” I replied “okay, and walked towards the register and asked what time a manager will be returning in the morning. She tells me what time then said “I’m sorry, she is just a prep cook” ... so I thought how are you a prep cook but don’t know where the steak is at for the philly?.then also proceed to tell me there is no manager on duty and that they were all new. Which is understandable. & a situation like this has happened to us 2 nights in a row. Hutch’s is a beautiful gas station with a lot of potential but the communication is terrible.
