We love this place. Sometimes you can get really really really bad service. Other times you can get great service. There’s a guy that works here that’s really bad. Crazy Kathy is amazing as is Trista. Tony is great too. Took wife on birthday and the guy waiter didn’t say happy birthday , which was weird. I still love this place but I was basically asked repeatedly to order some sort of seafood sampler.. instead of halibut. I said no three times which was very weird. Clearly they’re pushing old items or something is going on.nnWife ordered a cappuccino at end of meal and waiter later brought the check instead, without cappuccino. Again, we love this place but the service can be inconsistent. The manager checked on us several times. We are very low maintenance. We still tipped well during our visit because we know it’s tough now economically. 50 percent tip just so people understand we are nice. For us, that’s a lot of money but we are happy to do this. In conclusion we’ve been going here for many years but sometimes the service is really bad. It simply depends on whom you get for service. The food is always great without question. I think the issue may be the area and its clientele (extremely cheap, indebted people, all transplants). Perhaps the staff is treated rudely by patrons because of this location.
I think this place is really good, don't get me wrong. My only problem is the price you pay. It is super expensive, and for what you get its not always worth it. I got the surf and turf, with lobster and a steak. It was cooked great, but both were really small. I could go and buy a lobster tail and a bigger steak for a quarter of the price. It is a good place if you like being fancy and not cooking, but if you can cook (and like to), then cooking at home is the best for you. Again, its not bad, its just not worth the price if you know how to cook at home.
We came here for dinner on Sunday evening. Food is excellent! We both had the mixed grill. Server was excellent! My issue is with our seating. The hostess brought us to a table and asked if this was okay. The table was too close to the filled table next to it for my comfort. She said it was socially distanced. I suggested two other areas that were close by and more sparsely filled. She said, “Sorry about that”. I felt either I must leave the restaurant or take the table. Our server was also waiting on the tables I had suggested which were filled soon after our arrival. My question is why ask if a table is okay if one is not willing to accommodate the customers’ request and create a better restaurant experience?
Food was amazing, I recommend the crab cakes and lobster bisque for an example of their excellent sea food. But their Filet Mignon cook to Med is amazing as well. They will give you new flavors to experience. Treat yourself on a B-Day or Anniversary.
The waiter was so awesome. We came early to eat a long wait for fresh food. Unfortunately, the food was not what I expected however it wasn't horrible. Would I eat it again, not if I had to pay for it. The gumbo was thick like gravy and rice. The grill platter was okay but the shrimp and scallops were grossly over cooked (too expensive for what I was given). Now the pan seared scallops and lobster risotto was so awesome, I would order that to go. All in all it was about a 3.5 stars. I don't have a problem paying for great food but, when it cost $40 for a grill plate that is over cooked, it was disappointing.
