For an organization that SHOULD have a vested interest in its patients, the customer service is close to non-existent. Every interaction with the staff here is a bad experience. You won’t receive any calls back in regards to your inquiries or appointments. If you are fortunate to reach someone at the front desk, you’ll be recycling the same information you already expressed from previous conversations because it’s never recorded or conveyed to the doctors. Replace the staff; it’s damaging any reputation you have hopes of keeping intact. It might not be such a frustrating experience if there was even a slight amount of concern for the patient’s well-being. How can their be so much negligence for the very lives this place is intended to protect? FIX IT.

Dr Shiffman is an amazing doctor and has saved my life. He gets 5 stars. However, scheduling an appointment or getting the front desk to do their job is like pulling teeth. It takes over an hour to get someone to answer the phone. Then you get extremely vague answers. I have never had such a strong sense of someone trying so hard NOT to do their job as when I do when talking to someone here. I just need a follow up appointment when the doc says and lab orders.... it shouldn’t be this hard every single time. New staff is definitely needed, maybe consider hiring people who actually want to work and do their job. There’s plenty of people out there. I wish MyChart had it to where we could schedule our own appointments like riverside does.

My experience has been wonderful considering my illness. Dr. Phil Alexander is a very intelligent doctor with an awesome beside manor. The institute saved my life and I highly recommend this facility to anyone with liver complications.

They will not call you back. Multple messages over weeks. ZERO call backs!
