AMF York Lanes

Fun place for the kids. Kinda pricey though.

This was our first time going and our last. Place was nice and clean but the prices for the game is absolutely ridiculous! For 4 people to play 2 games we were charged $117.. they charged 1 game person so 2 games in total some how managed to be 8 games..? Never again.

This place was a lot of fun. It's really busy so call ahead and make reservations. The staff was amazingly helpful. The food was good, and the bowling was fun. I will return

I would give zero stars if I could. We went in, three people playing two games. We explained this to the desk clerk several times, and she decided to try and charge us for 6 games (2 per person). We were all playing two games together...tell me how that makes sense. On top of that the lady complained to her manager right in front of us for having to give us a refund because we clearly didn’t want to be swindled. Furthermore, one of us had lost an item in the brief time we were inside, so when we went back to look we were directed that the lost and found was behind the bar. Went over there to check and the bartender said she’d given it to the front desk. Now we’re being lied to. Went back to the front desk to ask for my item back, and she decided to throw it across the counter at me. I wish I had gotten her name, but all I could pay attention to was the sheer disrespect and attitude we were given, we were absolutely speechless that AMF let’s their employees treat customers like this. Not a good business model. I advise you to stay away from this particular location, you can do better.

I went to AMF York Lanes for the first time tonight with a group of friends. Bowling prices were affordable, drinks were good, staff was friendly...until we encountered John. John was working as a cashier and I’m assuming a food runner. While my boyfriend placed his order, he turned around to warn me that the cashier, John, wasn’t having a good night and had expressed frustration regarding his work environment. When it was my time to order, I was friendly and repeated my order to John twice to ensure he understood what I wanted, and to give him time to input my order as he seemed untrained and overwhelmed. I ordered a small order of Buffalo wings, a small order of Parmesan wings, and a medium fruit punch. After a considerable wait, a lady approached me with a basket of Buffalo wings and garlic Parmesan fries. After explaining that either John misheard me or that the lady was presenting me with someone else’s order by mistake, she got on her headset and asked her team (referring to John by name) who the order belonged to. John approached from behind, she handed him the basket, and he presented it to me stating that I had ordered Buffalo wings and Parmesan fries, not wings. I explained that he must have misunderstood me and that it was ok, and he told me he would go get the garlic Parmesan wings that I ordered, and he expressed to me how his coworkers were “f**king pissing him off.” After waiting another 30 minutes, with John walking past my table multiple times without an update, my boyfriend asked him when the wings would be ready. John replied with a mere, “oh” and proceeded to turn around and head back to the kitchen. After waiting a few minutes longer, I proceeded to the cash register where John was standing and asked how much longer on the wings, to which he replied, “the manager said we can’t give them to you because you paid for what I rung you up for.” While I’m not one to expect free food, John had assured me he would fix his mistake, and never once told me what his manager said, nor offered to ring me up for what I had intended to order initially. John had a horrible attitude after my inquiry. John either needs more customer service training or perhaps a new job. I’m hoping that the manager that I spoke with takes the time to train, coach, and develop John as an employee as his skills are severely lacking and reflect poorly on this establishment.
