Was a really good experience today here. Our waiter Chris was amazing which made our experience good. He was on point and always there when we needed anything. A little pricey but u gotta expect that for seafood restaurant. We were all happy with all our meal choices and had plenty of leftovers to bring home. I prefer the local spot in Virginia Beach (not owned by same people) but this was a very nice little get away for the family!
This place was amazing. From beginning to end such a great experience. Went during lunch time with no wait. Ordered the seafood dip , and hush puppies for appetizers. Ordered fried shrimp with french fries for my main. Was sooooo good. Definitely the best hush puppies I've ever had!!! Oh and let me mention the rum runners. Waitress came and told us as soon as they were on special. Had 2 rounds and damn they were good. Plenty of alcohol in a sort of blended drink. Will definitely be going back for another visit.
We will be coming back here! Service was great, ambiance is great, food was great for the most part. Only complaint on my part is my fried crab cake was not very good, it was too thick and mushy but the seasonal veggies that came with it were delicious. My husband got the she-crab salmon with garlic marshes potatoes and it was delicious. We had the clam chowder and calamari for appetizers and they were delicious!!
I love Harpoon Larry's. I remember going to the old location in Hampton! Great selection of beer and wine. Got Larry's crab dip and blackened mahi tacos. Everything was spot on. Try putting the crab dip on their hush puppies. Awesome combination. Can't wait to go back.
Very good food. I started off with a salad and my friend and I shared the seafood pizza appetizer. Then I had the Blackened Tuna prepared just the way I wanted it. And my waitress, Sabrina, was very knowledgeable about how the dishes were prepared.nMy only complaint tonight was the serving of the food. The pizza came out first followed by my salad about 3 minutes later. Not a big deal. However, before I finished the first slice of pizza, the main course was delivered to the table. They should spaced that out a little longer. Still, I would recommend this restaurant.
